CONSTRUCTION WORK AT KAOHSIUNG INTL AIRPORT

  1. This AIP SUP replaces AIP SUP 17/25 (Phase 2 updated, Phase 3, Phase 4 deleted and Phase 9 added).
  2. To avoid jet blast hazard, pilots shall use minimum breakaway thrust/power setting near construction areas.
  3. Airport operations are limited to aircraft with a wingspan up to but not including 65M (up to and including aerodrome reference code E) during all construction phases.
  4. Existing TWY A, B, C, D, E, F, G, J and TXL A1, A2, A3, H will be re-designated. The changes will appear within the AIP from AIRAC date of 2026.
  5. Estimated construction period is through JUL 2027. Individual construction phase will be activated by NOTAM and may not follow a numeric sequence.

Phase 1 (during curfew 1601-2230 UTC)

  1. RWY 09/27 closed.
  2. All Taxiways closed.
  3. The airport, under the above conditions, is only available for emergency medical service helicopter TKOF/LDG at designated area.
  4. The airport is not to be used for technical landing or not to be requested as an alternate for flight planning.

Phase 2

  1. TWY A closed between RWY 09/27 and TWY S (excluded).
  2. ACFT using RWY 27 to land or abort take-off, if exceeding TWY J, shall not make a 180-degree turn on runway, inform TWR for towing service from runway to the apron instead.
  3. When RWY 09 in use, ACFT shall use the other taxiways for intersection take-off, refer information in AIP RCKH AD 2.13.
  4. Reference map of closed area.

Phase 8

  1. TWY D closed.
  2. Pilots are advised to vacate the runway expeditiously to achieve maximum runway utilization and minimize the risk of "go arounds".

Phase 9

  1. TWY B closed between TWY S (excluded) and TWY A (excluded).
  2. Stand 522 closed.
