CONSTRUCTION WORK AT KAOHSIUNG INTL AIRPORT

  1. This AIP SUP replaces AIP SUP 27/24 (Phase 2, Phase 3 and Phase 4 updated).
  2. Estimated construction period is through DEC 2025. Individual construction phase will be activated by NOTAM and may not follow a numeric sequence.

Phase 1 (during curfew 1601-2230 UTC)

  1. RWY 09/27 closed.
  2. All Taxiways closed.
  3. The airport, under the above conditions, is only available for emergency medical service helicopter TKOF/LDG at designated area.
  4. The airport is not to be used for technical landing or not to be requested as an alternate for flight planning.

Phase 2

  1. TWY A closed between RWY 09/27 and TWY S (excluded).
  2. New TWY J is available for entry/exit RWY. Please refer Phase 7.
  3. ACFT using RWY 27 to land or abort take-off, if exceeding TWY J, shall not make a 180-degree turn on runway, inform TWR for towing service from runway to the apron instead.
  4. When RWY 09 in use, ACFT shall use the other taxiways for intersection take-off, refer information in AIP RCKH AD 2.13 or Phase 7 about TWY J.
  5. Reference map of closed area.

Phase 3

  1. TWY F closed.
  2. ACFT using RWY 09 to land or abort take-off, if exceeding TWY E, shall not make a 180-degree turn on runway, inform TWR for towing service from runway to the apron instead.
  3. When RWY 27 in use, ACFT shall use the other taxiways for intersection take-off, refer AIP RCKH AD 2.13.
  4. Reference map of closed area.

Phase 4

  1. TWY S closed between TWY A (excluded) and TWY B (excluded).
  2. ACFT with wingspan up to but not including 36 M on the stands listed below may expect the following pushback procedures:
    1. Stand 24, 27, 30
      1. Push back facing north to TXL A2 or A3, then taxiing to TWY A under its own engine power. 1
      2. Make long pushback facing south to stand 521 or 525, then taxiing to TWY A under its own engine power. 2
    2. Stand 25, 28, 31, 32
      1. Push back facing north to TXL A2 or A3, towed forward until abeam stand 24 or 30, then taxiing to TWY A under its own engine power. 1
      2. Make long pushback facing south to stand 521 or 525, then taxiing to TWY A under its own engine power. 2 
Note 1 In order to avoid the jet blast effect on people, ACFT and ground equipment in apron, ACFT must perform taxiing with engine power as low as possible until being aligned with TWY A centerline.

Note 2 In order to avoid the jet blast effect on the ground EQPT in working area, ACFT must perform taxiing with engine power as low as possible until being aligned with TWY A centerline.
  1. The airport is not to be used for ACFT with wingspan greater than 65 M (Aerodrome Reference Code Letter F) takeoff and landing.

Phase 5

The intersection of TWY A and TXL A2 closed.

Phase 6

TWY G closed.

Phase 7

New TWY J available.
